Summer Reading List Update

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” –Joseph Addison

I’ve been working on my summer reading list. Here’s the original list:

Omnivore’s Dilemma – Michael Pollan
The End of Overeating – David Kessler
Black Holes and Baby Universes – Stephen Hawking
Elegant Universe – Brian Greene
Shock Doctrine – Naomi Klein
A Failure of Capitalism – Richard Posner
Off the Books – Sudhir Venkatesh
American Project – Sudhir Venkatesh
Youth, Globalization, and the Law – Sudhir Venkatesh
Building Community Capacity – Sudhir Venkatesh
Tipping Point – Malcolm Gladwell
Blink – Malcolm Gladwell

I added a few:
A People’s History of the United States – Howard Zinn
Lies My Teacher Told Me – James Loewen
Imperial Life in the Emerald City – Rajiv Chandrasekaran
A Brief History of Time – Stephen Hawking

I’ve now started both Elegant Universe and A Brief History of Time. However, I picked up A Failure of Capitalism over the weekend and I think that will win out.

I’ve got notes about all the one’s I’ve read so far and I’m going to start getting those notes organizes into posts, which should start going up this week.
