Over at NPR, they discussed something truly mortifying. Your old screenname.
These days I pretty much use my real name for everything. I’m not especially concerned (rightly or wrongly) about privacy online.
But back in the days of AIM, you had to have your just perfect screenname. And I had mine. Well, sorta. I had the 9th most perfect one.
That was my AIM handle until we stopped using that as a messaging service.
Writing this post, I searched for my own name. It turned up zero search results.
