A few weeks ago, I spent the week with a good friend of mine who lives in Washington, DC and has a three-year-old son. Fortunately (for me) the munchkin was off at his father’s for most of the week but he returned towards the end of my stay.
My friend had an engagement one evening, so she, being aware that I am not really into the whole “child care” thing, hired a friend’s teenage daughter to watch the rugrat while she was gone.
