“In a world where discovery is more important than delivery, it’s the people who find, remix and direct attention to old stuff that should be rewarded, not the people who deliver it or sit on it waiting for someone to show up.” -Joichi Lto
Kerby Ferguson, an NYC-based filmmaker, has put together this series about how everything is a remix. It’s a four part series, and the first two parts have been released.
Listening to how Led Zepplin first sampled all of the music and then was sampled by a variety of musicians is really interesting. And I had no idea so many ideas from movies came from other movies. Seeing that makes me want to see all of the movies that, say, “Star Wars”, sampled from.
I’m looking forward to the next two videos.
